THE SPACE
Omoho Stream 1 by Tiny Away is located in Kennedy Bay, set 200m from the main road in a fully fenced paddock, privately positioned on a flat site designed for the tiny home. Enjoy views of rolling paddocks, mountains, and lush native forest.

Just 5 minutes away, a secluded beach awaits. Explore private bushwalks along the stream, spot native wildlife, and enjoy a taste of rural living — all within easy reach of the Coromandel’s top attractions.

Experience the best of Coromandel near Omoho Stream. Relax at mostly secluded Harataunga Beach (5 min), visit the nearby carved Harataunga Marae with the owner, ride the Driving Creek Railway and Zipline (20 min), or enjoy a fun day at Waiau Waterworks (30 min).

This 139-square-foot tiny home features easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we have two holiday homes Omoho Stream 1 and 2, available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.

LOCATIONS
Restrictions are well defined and signposted, there are only two restricted areas: The private home of the owners and its surrounding buildings, and the OMOHO Stream boundary to neighbouring property.
- Wi-Fi available. - No children allowed - Gas BBQ grill is available. - Potable water is available for xx. - No smoking inside or outside the tiny home - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, and close windows and doors when leaving - Mobile reception is good for only Vodafone and Spark, while other networks have no reception. - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - Remote location: The nearest store is roughly 25 minutes away - Bring enough food and supplies to cover your full stay - Access roads are unsealed, with conditions varying by weather - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
Food Scene: - Coromandel Takeaways & Fresh Fish - selling fresh caught fish, fried fish and chips - Star & Garter - Great food and alcohol, lunch and dinner pub style - Pepper Tree Restaurant - fully licensed quality dining, lunch and dinner - Weta Cafe - the most popular cafe in Coromandel Town - All the above are on the main road through the town - Kapanga Road and Wharf Road Sightseeing: - Harataunga Marae - a traditionally carved Meeting house (Whare Tipuna). The owner has access to this wonderful experience. Must book with owner - Harataunga Beach - 5 minute drive from the property, mostly secluded apart from high summer holidays - Driving Creek Railway & Zipline - 20 minute drive - Waiau Waterworks - 30 minute drive a great way to spend a day splashing about, playing with water features. *Several fishing charter boats available from $NZ65.00 per person for half day* Shopping and Groceries: - Coromandel 4 Square - groceries/provisions, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, selection of local and national produce. - 25-30 minute drive from property Parks & Nature: - Tokatea Track - a hike along the top of the Coromandel ranges - Castle Rock - the other side of the Coromandel ranges - Many walks and hikes available. Lots of beaches to explore and swim. Festivals, Arts, & Culture: - Weekly markets and several festivals held during the summer months around the Coromandel. E.g. The Keltic Fair in Coromandel Town is always held on January 2nd and is the most popular festival on the Coromandel annual events calendar. It's about 40 years old.
