Rendezvous NexusToolangi, VIC 3777
About this listing
Toolangi means “tall trees” in the indigenous language. It is a wonderfully quiet town with no traffic lights and loads of rural mountain charm.
Experience living off the grid and truly disconnect here. Our tiny house is eco-friendly and solar powered (stored in a battery). It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with cookware, utensils, a portable electric cooler fridge (uses less power) and a gas stove.
To keep warm during winters, there's a pot bellied stove / fireplace inside the tiny house with ample firewood for you to use. There is a queen sized bed up in the loft and a couch on the ground floor. It sleeps 2 persons comfortably.
As this is a solar powered tiny house, power generated is very much dependant on the availability of sunlight. During winters or cloudy days, we may not get enough charge, so it's best to conserve power as much as possible. If you need to charge your electronic devices, please bring along your power banks.
Our internal bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. The toilet uses biologically sustainable aerobic decomposition process. It is waterless and there's no need to flush. An aeration fan helps to remove odours.
You will have access to the entire 6 acres of gardens except the main house and shed.
Other things to note
– Free parking on property
– Bikes are available
– The property has mobile reception and 4G.
– There is an outdoor fire pit and a gas bbq too.
We have a very lovely neighbourhood with friendly locals, magical forests and local food and wine. You can't see them but you know they will be there for you in times of need. That's how close knitted our community is!
This is a great place to be for nature walks in the countryside. You can venture into the Toolangi State Forest for a hike. Take the Wirrawilla Rainforest walk or the Kalatha Giant Tree walk.
Have a relaxing afternoon by sipping Devonshire teas at the CJ Dennis Singing Gardens. On weekends, head to the Giverny Estate for their organic kiwi fruit wine and cider. They are open Sat – Sun (10 am – 4 pm). Weekdays are by appointment only.
