An Essentially Unmissable Experience
Story by Tom Sacca
Nestled atop of a tranquil private hill, with vistas of Owner Dave’s very own Vinyard, this hidden gem relaxes humbly and undisturbed . Set amidst the endless blanket of mountains and a short walk above the Coxis river, this modern tiny home offers all the luxuries one would expect from a contemporary stylish hotel. Complete with air conditioning and a fully functioning kitchenette, occupants can comfortably enjoy themselves, and when the day comes to a close, a spacious bathroom and double bed offer an oasis to gaze upon the stars through the floor to ceiling windows. Adjacent to the house, is a fully functioning fire pit with comfortable sitting for a romantic evening of feasting and stories. To complete the experience, drinks are also available for purchase.
Upon arrival, we were first greeted by the warm smile of the owner Dave, and his gorgeous energetic dog, Ringo. His kindness and thoughtfulness rings through the entire tiny home experience, from the bottle of complimentary wine, to the sweet cherries left for us from his garden.
He gifted us with information surrounding the property and the Vineyard, and also gave us advise of the many things we can do during our stay on his property, he even offered Ringo to come on our adventures!
Although it would be impossible to explore all the beauty the Blue Mountains has to offer, we visited as many attractions as possible.
Beginning with a trip to Lithgow blast furnace. A curious look into the rich history of his country town, this activity will leave you awe-inspired. Next to the Jenolan Caves, the windy and haunting roads leading to these magnificently grand caves make the experience all the more fulfilling. Our advice is to finish off this adventure with a warm drink in the beautiful cafe at the base of the valley next to the caves.
At sunset, we drove to Kanangra walls, a beautiful 30 minute drive though dense forest lands until you arrive on the edge of the walls. Walking along these walls, observing the external fortitude of the mountains before you is nothing short of breathtaking.
In its entirety, this experience was an unforgettable and enriching one, complete with all the comforts one would expect from a luxury holiday, yet all the adventure and wonder of a rugged camping experience. An essentially unmissable experience.
