Story by Eclair Piya

We arrived at the tiny house “The Lily Pond Cottage” late afternoon after visiting a few sites on the way from Sydney. The tiny house was really easy to find on google map and located in Bombah Point, next to Myall Lakes National Park. We were greeted by our hosts and shown around the house. The house is set in a beautiful leafy surroundings with subtropical forest, a large fish pond, fire pit and two friendly welcoming dogs. It was so peaceful and relaxing after our long drive. The tiny house was well equipped, with comfy queen size bed, everything for BBQ and featured a water saving eco toilet.

Next we visited The Grandis home to the tallest tree in NSW. After a drive down an unsealed road through the rainforest we found the Grandis. Over 300 years old it was amazing to see!

We had worked up an appetite and decided to head back to the tiny house for a bbq. On the way we grabbed some local beer and stopped in Bulahdelah to pick up some food at the local shop – only a short drive from the tiny house.

That evening we enjoyed a BBQ by an open fire and chilled out with some beers. watching the stars shine and also some fireflies around come to say hi to us! what a perfect end to the day.
