We were ready for a relaxing weekend and started to drive the road in the direction of Tasmania's Central Highlands. We went up through abundant pine forestry before reaching the top with beautiful views of the surrounding farmlands. Hidden in the hills of the valley, this cosy tiny house offers a serene country lifestyle that we were excited to call home for the next couple of days. We settled in with a mug of coffee and delicious scones baked by the host.
The hosts were so welcoming, they gave us a rundown of the history of the place and the amazing flora and fauna surrounding us before introducing us to the neighbors – the sheep, chickens, and lovely ducks. Our little one had so much fun watching the ducks take a bath and being splashed by them. Weeks after she still recounts this moment with a big smile on her face.
Waking up with open views of the hills from the comfort of the bed has no price. We loved watching the sunrise while being befriended by the sheep coming to say hi through the windows.
We could have stayed here for weeks (or months) just unwinding and relaxing.
