Pine Edge Experience

I arrived at Pine Edge Heights later than I wanted but as I like surprises and especially ones involving nature! I was full of excitement for the following morning and what was too be unveiled.

I’m an earlier riser most of the time by nature and so after a very comfy night's sleep in a toasty bed ( I did switch the heating off during the night as I don't like to cook! ) I was happily surprised to find some fresh scones that had been baked by the wonderful host Vanessa and left for me covered under a tea towel. I totally missed them on my arrival, which was a good thing because now I knew exactly what I was going to eat for breakfast after my morning exploration.

After returning to Oz after living in the northern hemisphere for 20 years, when I hear the sounds of Australia's nature I get quite emotional and Pine Edge Heights instantaneously delivered that emotion that makes me thrive and pulse to Australia’s nature and fauna.

The early morning dawn colours were accompanied by the magnificent call of the Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo I could hear calling in the distance. With a crispy crunch of frost under foot I was amazed at the views slowly unfolding as nature's dawn colours unfolded.

My Pine Edge Heights accommodation was surrounded by beautiful gum trees nearby. I have a love for trees as and as I wandered around the property after being given kind permission to do so by Vanessa and Barry the wonderful warm and loving Aussie yarn hosts, I discovered over two days just how lucky they are to have such an incredible location to live and kindly share with others. With the dapple running of creek water nearby and the odd bleat of the sheep, along with the laugh of Kookaburras and not to forget the call of the Cockatoo, this truly was the essence of Tasmanian rural with a blend of untouched nature.

I like to know a place and its intricacies and surprises and Pine Edge Heights is full of them. The Japanese have Shinrin-Yoku, well this truly is where you will find a little piece of Tasmania Shinrin-Yoku Aussie style!
